a piece of everyone’s soul
i’ve always thought there was a little bit of a person’s soul in the music that they loved. i’ve always thought that by listening to someone’s favorite song, you could get to know them on a more personal level. in 2019, i started asking people for their favorite songs, and i would put them into one big playlist called “a piece of everyone’s soul.” i loved listening to this playlist knowing that each song made at least one person tick. no matter how much i liked or disliked each song, i knew that i was listening to a piece of someone’s soul.
